How Do You Calculate Cubic Feet?
To calculate cubic feet, multiply length by width by height, all in feet. A box 3 feet by 2 feet by 2 feet is 12 cubic feet. If your measurements are in inches, divide each by 12 first, or multiply the three inch dimensions and divide by 1,728 (the number of cubic inches in a cubic foot). How Do You Convert Cubic Feet to Cubic Yards?
To convert cubic feet to cubic yards, divide by 27, since a cubic yard contains 27 cubic feet. So 54 cubic feet is 2 cubic yards.
